We have regional offices in the US, Europe, Brazil, India, China, and Japan while our headquarters office is in Gothenburg, Sweden.


We have a great global team with a passion for finance and accounting and are now looking for a Financial Accountant to complement the team. The position is a fulltime employment, located in our office in Chicago, reporting to the CFO, located in Sweden.

 

About the role

As Financial Accountant, you will work independently while wearing many different hats. You will play an important role within the finance team, meaning you will have the overall responsibility for our financial business in US, ensuring our day-to-day business operations within finance are delivered with high quality, and also manage the administration for our Sales office in U.S.

This is a unique opportunity to work for a growing global company and gain exposure to a variety of accounting and business functions. The position will report to the CFO, but you need to be able to work independently with support and collaboration within the US organization. The Financial Accountant will be a proven accounting expert who loves to dig into and analyze data, helping the business make financially smart decisions.


More specifically about the role (but not limited to):

Ensure all bookkeeping records and monthly accounting procedures are updated and carried out according to deadlines. Process and monitor all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports. In the role, it is important to nurture and maintain relations with customers/vendors and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Some support to the central HR-department in personnel and payroll matters for the U.S entity and Office administration may also be requested.

 

Are you the one?

  • To be successful, you should have minimum of five (5) year experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Proven knowledge and experience with US GAAP
  • Experience from working with taxes and corporate governance
  • Excellent knowledge from working with excel and information/support systems
  • If you have experience from working in international smaller to mid-size companies, it’s an advantage

Other personal skills we think are important is being able to quickly adapt to changes in priorities, self-sufficient excellent problem solving /judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
