We are very pleased to once again be an integral part in the upcoming CIRSE Congress to be held in Barcelona September 10-14th.
Mentice will be part of the Scientific Program in the hands on Principles to Practice: education and simulation skills training.
This popular series of workshops comprises a one-hour round-table discussion with experts in the field, delivering key knowledge and practical tips, followed by one hour of hands-on experience using Mentice high-fidelity simulators.
Each session is aimed at delegates with a specific level of experience (core, intermediate or advanced). The round-table discussions are themed around learning objectives which relate to a specific clinical or procedural topic. Sessions are held daily for different levels of skills. Participants need to pre-register.
Mentice will be participating in the simulation sessions on :
- Basic embolisation techniques (uterine artery and pelvic trauma)
- Acute aortic syndromes and emergency EVAR
- The role of endovascular treatment in the diabetic foot
- Handling complications in iliac and femoral interventions
Education opportunity hosted by some of the most skilled and highly regarded clinicians
This is a wonderful education opportunity hosted by some of the most skilled and highly regarded clinicians in their field and a marvellous way to see the value that simulation brings enhancing dialogue around strategy whilst providing clarity and formative learning for all level of skills. Please pass the simulation gallery and see what is going on. Stop for a coffee and a chat between sessions, running from 8.30-1pm daily.
Mentice’s booth will be in the Radiation Protection Pavilion which, by popular demand will have even more profile than years before. We will of course be demonstrating our radiation safety software with our trauma module and wide range of vascular procedures. We will also be willing to demonstrate Acute Ischemic Stroke as one of the best training programs available.
As part of the CIRSE Radiation Protection program, Mentice’s Dominic Steffel will be delivering a presentation at the Radiation Protection Pavilion on the topic of
“The Invisible Impact. Can simulation really help with radiation protection training to proficiency? “
This will be addressing the challenges facing medical practitioners and their teams in the endovascular environment today, with some solutions proposed to actively manage fluoroscopy exposure. One of the solutions is explained in more detail revealing the calculations of the simulated environment and how proficiency training can be safely achieved with simulation. Tuesday 13th September 14.15-14.30.
We hope to see you there!
