- Identify the feeding arteries, nidus and draining veins using super selective contrast injections
- Choose embolization strategy, i.e. decide what feeder to first start embolization
- Select optimal bi-plane projections for respective feeder and draining vein
- Access nidus through feeding arteries
- Inject Embolics (glue) with a correct pressure and flow
- Recognize and manage reflux
- Use DSA to track progression of Embolics (glue) in the AVM
- Recognize and stop when venous filling
