Training objectives
- Identify MMA origin from ECA, ophthalmic artery from ICA, and all dangerous collaterals
- Access MMA past the foramen spinosum and beyond any dangerous anastomoses confirmed on selective angiography
- Embolize anterior frontal and posterior parietal branches using appropriate embolic agent
- Perform final ECA and anterior circulation angiogram to confirm successful embolization and exclude thromboembolic complications
