Simulator Gallery 2024 - featuring Mentice simulation solutions

As an Official Partner of Education for CIRSE, we invite you to experience the extensive onsite Simulator Gallery program at this year’s annual congress. Participate in the hands-on and interactive Simulator Gallery sessions for an immersive experience and the chance to learn best practices within Interventional Radiology from the experts in the field. This popular training series aimed towards delegates with a specific level of experience (core, intermediate or advanced) comprises a 20-minute round-table discussion facilitated by KOL's delivering key knowledge and practical tips, followed by one hour of hands-on experience using our simulators.

Participation is free for all CIRSE 2024 delegates, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Facilitated by Prof. H. Hoppe (Bern/CH), Prof. R. Kickuth (Würzburg/DE), and Prof. J.C. van den Berg (Lugano/CH) the daily session topics are:

  • Sept 14 | SIM session 1: Ischemic stroke
  • Sept 15 | SIM session 2: Uterine artery embolization
  • Sept 16 | SIM session 3: Management of chronic mesenteric ischemia (NEW TOPIC for this year)
  • Sept 17 | SIM session 4: Prostatic embolization

The chronic mesenteric ischemia learning module* has been specifically designed for the CIRSE 2024 Simulator Gallery and will be a new topic in this year’s program.


Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the current treatment strategies for chronic mesenteric ischemia.
  • Master endovascular techniques, including balloon angioplasty and stenting.
  • Learn how to select the appropriate devices for each procedure.
  • Develop skills in the safe manipulation of interventional tools.

New features includes:

  • Manage Renal Bleeding: Practice treating renal bleeding caused by guide wire perforation into small vessels using embolization coils.
  • Radial Access for All Cases: Gain experience with radial access across various scenarios.
  • Advanced Spasm Management: Utilize the new Proctor tab to trigger spasms or experience automatic triggers for realistic training manually.
